Patch impact analysis is a method to generate a report about what patch entirely will do before apply on system. For example: - What will be adding, modify or ignore by particular patch.
Methods:
General Method:
- We should read the readme file in the patch directory and note all prerequisite patch if required then check prerequisite patch has been applied or not, if not applied first apply pre-request patch.
- We should apply the patch using apply=no options (test mode) and check log file it will show all the action that adpatch will take.
Login to OAM >go to Site Map > Maintenance > Patch Wizard
